I personally don't think the location where I vote would affect my opinions or votes, but I can see where it might affect some people that way and I don't like that way religion is creeping back into politics and civic life. I have nothing against religion, but the two shoudl be separate.

I WAS SO PLEASED to still have the old voting machines. The poll workers said EVERYONE said that.Mary Stebbins Taitthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10626507461216769140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33074830.post-1163000106060354502006-11-08T10:35:00.000-05:002006-11-08T10:35:00.000-05:00We voted at an elementary school last night, but i...We voted at an elementary school last night, but instead of the foyer or cafeteria or gym where I've seen voting take place in the past, they jammed us into a tiny classroom. It was the first room inside the front door, which makes me think of security issues.

I agree with you about the voting machines. I love them! They are so easy to use and clear and private. When I voted in THE election in Florida there was no privacy as you attempted to punch your butterfly. It was wretched. And look how that turned out.

Dang, I should stop writing or I should've posted this on my own blog. I don't think any school board would allow that now because of security issues. You can't step foot in most schools without a name tag and an escort.

I voted in a church basement several elections ago. I thought it was a little shady, too, especially since there were pro-life posters and literature hanging here and there.Caseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16513928061453431024noreply@blogger.com
